Government Services
The Goodwin team’s accomplishments in support of federal, state, and local government agencies extend literally across the country. Frequently working on projects administered under our General Services Administration (GSA) Schedule, we have provided the range of terrestrial archaeological, architectural historical, and nautical archaeological services to civilian federal agencies as diverse as the Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD), the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA), the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA), the U.S Department of Veterans Affairs (VA), and the National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA). We also have worked for state agencies on important projects across the country; aided county and municipal governments in drafting preservation laws and regulations and in solving their compliance problems creatively; and assisted in disaster recovery efforts when historic sites and structures have been affected. Our award-winning projects include work at the oldest building in Maryland; cultural resources permitting and compliance (all phases) for Orioles Park at Camden Yards and the Baltimore Ravens M&T Stadium; and the Annapolis Main Street project. [See Awards.] We have assisted Louisiana’s Coastal Protection and Restoration Agency (CPRA) in beach nourishment and coastal erosion control projects. In addition, we assisted the Louisiana Department of Education’s Recovery School District in bringing quality schools to New Orleans after Hurricane Katrina.
